RIKKI JUDKINS Died tragically on 17th June 2006, in Lancaster aged 50.

Son of the late Derrick and June Judkins.

Rikki has 2 sisters Lesley and Mandy, and a brother Gary. He was also an Uncle to Teri-Roxanne, Kristy-Louise, Warren, Simon, Laura and Adrian.

He lived most of his life in Coventry and loved his family and friends dearly.

The highlight of Rikki's life was a family get together and party time. He loved the Beach Boys, The beatles and all that sort of music genre. He fancied himself as a bit of a DJ at family get together (but we did draw the line when he put on the 50's crooners). It was so funny how he used to try to sneak them on and hope that no one noticed....

Rikki loved his nephew and niece's... he tried to protect them and everything bad was a burn burns...Kristy remembered that when she lit her candle. It was funny how the kids used to say "burn burns" as they grew up when something was dangerous. It just shows that Rikki had an influence on their lives.

Forget me not, for I am there
In the beat of your heart,
On the wing of your prayer.

Forgive me my parting and leaving you thus,
A joyous reunion is waiting for us!

Continue to strive toward your goal and be brave.
Know that my love didn't stop at the grave.

My spirit is with you through good times and bad.
I share all the joys and the sorrows you've had.

Feel my presence within your next breath
And realize there's no distance in death.

Ask for my help and I'll answer your call.
Reach for my hand when you stumble and fall.

Run the last mile with a smile on your face.
My arms will be waiting when you finish the race.

Always remember, my love is right there
In the beat of your heart,
On the wing of your prayer.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH LIFE SHOULD MEAN LIFE

Hello Rikki sending some love ur way
I opened up a box one day
What treasures did I find!
Letters and some photographs
Of days we left behind
I drifted back to yesterday
The thought was oh, so clear
For just a moment, anyway
It felt like you were here
I smile when I think of you
Sometimes I cry so much
I'm all alone without you now
I crave to feel your touch
But God had other plans for you
An Angel he did find
So now my box of memories
Is all that's left behind

Pair jailed for 'brutal' killing

Unsworth and Singh admitted murdering Rikki Judkins
A man and a teenager have been jailed for life for killing a 50-year-old man in an attack which culminated with a rock being dropped on his head.
Rikki Judkins, 50, from Coventry, was visiting Lancaster when he was attacked by Simon Unsworth, 20, and Arron Singh.

Unsworth, of Alexandra Road, Lancaster, and 16-year-old Singh, of Pennine View, Morecambe, both pleaded guilty on the first day of their trial last month.

Unsworth will serve at least 18 years in jail and Singh 15 years.

Det Ch Insp Andy Webster said the attack on Mr Judkins, who had learning difficulties was 'brutal, savage and sustained'.

Rikki Judkins suffered head injuries

Mr Judkins had been visiting Lancashire last June, when he was targeted by the pair.

He had been staying in Morecambe, but a mix-up over a bus ticket meant he travelled to Lancaster.

Det Ch Insp Andy Webster added: 'Such was the level of violence used by Singh and Unsworth, that the victim did not have any chance of surviving the assault.

'Throughout the investigation the defendants have shown no remorse and only following a thorough and dedicated police investigation did they plead guilty on the day of the trial.'

At Preston Crown Court, reporting restrictions which would usually prevent the naming of Singh because of his age, were lifted.

You will always be in our hearts.

We miss you more than any words I could possibly express on here, yet the memories we hold of you keep us strong and keep you alive in our hearts. We remember the times you would grab us in a bear hug, or would dance and sing along to Shakin Stevens and the Beach Boys.

We will always love you our dear Rikki.
